It is currently 3:30 in the afternoon, and I still need to pray Mincha. Nightfall is at 5:58PM;
how much longer do I have left before it is too late to pray according to Rav Yehudah?
I need you to explain to me why... how...

You can pray until sunset- Is nightfall sunset?
Plag Hamincha is in between Minchah and sunset.
1 hour and 13 minutes because it is 1 hour and 15 minutes before sunset.
Rabbi Judah maintained that Mincha can be prayed (from one half hour after midday) until 1 1/4 hours before sunset.
from one half hour after midday until 1 1/4 hours so 5:58-1:15 minutes=4:43 so you have only an hour and 13 minutes
Plag Mincha is between there.
Plag Hamincha is one and a half halachic hours before sunset. Found on- /www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/144443/jewish/Plag-Hamincha.htm
You can pray until sunset according to askmoses

Found on- http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/144443/jewish/Plag-Hamincha.htm
Hi! You have until 1 1/4 hours before sunset (5:58), which would be until 4:43 PM to pray Mincha. This is according to Rabbi Yehudah. Source:http://www.askmoses.com/article.html?h=148&o=82950
the source is askmoses.com
mincha can be said until plag hamincha according to www.aishdas.org/toratemet/en_times.html
And you can start praying from one hour and a half after midday.(Same source)But, at 3:30, you can already pray Mincha.
i agree with most of my classmates... plag mincha is between mincha and sunset.
Plag Hamincha is in between mincha and sunset.
just kidding!!! it's like an hour and 15 minutes before sunset!!!! yay!!! its from askmoses
you can pray plag mincha until sunset.
between mincha and sunset
If we do Plag Hamincha on Shabbat, the meal would start at around 10 o' clock.
Rabbi Yehuda said that you can read the mishna until 1 and one fourth an hour before sunset so it would be 4:58 - 15 which 4:43 p.m

Oh I got it from Chabad.com
i got my answer from askmoses.com
plag mincha is 1 1/4 hours before sunset from http://www.askmoses.com/article.html?h=148&o=82950
You can pray Mincha from half an hour after the middle of the day to 1 and 1/4 hours before sunset
thats around 4;25 if sunset is at 5;40 from http://www.sunrisesunset.com/calendar.asp
You calculate one third or one half by taking sunrise and sunset and doing some simple division. Also, Yarden was cheating during this process.
I was wrong she was not.
ALLEN IS WRONG I WASNT
the sun sets at 5:46 pm on january 9, 2008. you could davin plag mincha from 3:30 pm to 5:46 pm.
what i did is i figured out that the sunrise is at 7:20 tomorrow and and the sun sets at 4:45 p.m. tomorrow. I took those two numbers and calculated how much is in between. 9 hours and 25 minutes. half of 9 hours and 25 minutes is 4 hours and 12.5 minutes. I added that to 4:45 p.m.
You need to think about how long it will take to say the entire prayer because if you decide to start praying at 5:57, but it will take you 5 minutes is it still possible to pray?
you have to do it before 1200 am midnight other wise its in vain. so you have 2 hours and 28 minutes
so its 1h and 15 min before sunset so that means its 1h and 13m so that is 2h and 28m
It is one hour and fifteen minutes before sunset
you can say it 1 1/4 hours before sunset to say it. you have 43 minutes before you can see it and then you have a 1 hour and 15 minutes to say it.

between 7:43 and 5:45 and 4 hours after 7:43 sunrisesunset.com/calendar.asp
